Kitchen renovations
From new doors, drawers and handles to a full new kitchen with custom cabinetry, an island or a butler's pantry, planned around how you actually use it.
M.Ewald Building renovates the inside of Brisbane homes as one project: kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, storage and reworked living spaces, planned together so every room ties in with the next.

When the kitchen, bathrooms and living areas are planned together, the colours, finishes and joinery tie in from room to room, and walls can come out to open up the layout. Opening up closed-off rooms can make a home feel bigger without the need for an extension.
We handle the whole job, from reworking the layout to custom cabinetry, and bring in the electricians, plumbers, tilers and designers we've worked with for years.
These are the parts of an internal renovation we plan and build, together or on their own.

From new doors, drawers and handles to a full new kitchen with custom cabinetry, an island or a butler's pantry, planned around how you actually use it.

Family-friendly full bathroom renovations through to luxury, high-end bathrooms. We've completed over 100 bathrooms.

Laundries with custom cabinetry and storage, planned alongside the kitchen and bathrooms so they match.

Taking out walls between the kitchen, dining and living areas to create one open space where everyone can be together.

Bespoke cabinetry and joinery built to fit the home, without getting in the way of walkways, doors or windows.

New timber floors, new wall and ceiling linings, and the finishing touches that make the whole inside feel new.
The inside of this Balmoral Queenslander was renovated in 2025: a new kitchen with a servery window out to the deck, new bathrooms, and renovated bedrooms, with the timber arches and floors carried through the house.
Planning it as one project means the kitchen, bathrooms and living spaces all feel like they belong together.

An internal renovation touches a lot of trades. Michael has a network of electricians, plumbers, cabinet makers and interior designers he's worked with for years, and manages them so the job runs in the right order.
We work with a team of designers and leading Brisbane cabinet makers, and closely with interior designer Stella Franks from Three Stems, who can help you choose colours and finishes that tie the whole home together.
"Michael acted as the project manager for the shower installation and arranged for the electrician, tilers and water proofers for their part of the job ... Michael is punctual, courteous and respectful of the client and their property."
"A stand out feature of the experience was the team's commitment to quality and attention to detail. There were multiple instances where I was satisfied with the outcome, yet Michael insisted on redoing elements to meet their standard."
"The second job was a much larger job, enclosing a deck and putting in bi-fold doors and sliding doors, as well as plastering a very difficult sloping area ... This job was also done on time and within budget."
